I would like to seek preliminary advice regarding Lot 3 at 250 Princes Highway, Officer. The original development documentation appears to indicate that the estate was planned with predominantly double storey dwellings. However, I have been unable to determine whether Lot 3 is required to be developed as a double storey dwelling, or whether a single storey dwelling may also be permitted. I would strongly prefer to construct a single storey dwelling on the lot, subject to compliance with all applicable planning controls and building envelope requirements. Could Council please clarify the applicable requirements for Lot 3 and advise whether there are any planning concerns or approval requirements associated with a single storey dwelling? Could Council please advise whether a planning permit amendment would be required and whether there are any planning concerns regarding a single storey design?
